‘Return From the Search Party’ is Lonely Ghosts debut full-length album. Written in tandem with ‘Don’t Get Lost Or Hurt’, the album expands on the style of its predecessor showing the many disparate sides of the experimental Lonely Ghosts sound. Throughout the record lo-fi indie-pop rubs shoulders against multiple layers of textured sound, be it harsh guitar noises and synths such as on album opener ‘Love Projection’, or lush sweeping strings and clarinets as on the recent limited edition single ‘Ghosts of Mice’. Recorded largely from his home studio, Denney utilises songs like an audio note pad, laying down musical ideas and experiments freely and coupling them with open and emotive vocals. The end result is a rich album that makes leaps stylistically from song to song but is always held together by a strong pop backbone.

This release also features guest contributions from Leesey Frances (ex-Help She Can’t Swim co-vocalist) and members of My Device, Nullifier and The Tumbledown Estate.

Following the critically acclaimed Underfelt EP in 2007 comes Mewgatz debut album ‘Love Songs and Car Boot Electronica’. 16 months in the making, the album comprises 14 incredibly introspective and heart-warming tracks which are as much about the fragility of relationships as they the fragility of machinery. Falling somewhere between the Magnetic Fields, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone and Squarepusher, these rich and subversive musical compositions are brought to life by Mewgatz trademark humble and bittersweet lyrics surrounding the themes of lost and found love and his continuing frustration at his dependency upon the modern technology which makes his music.

The artwork for ‘Love Songs and Car Boot Electronica’ was all designed by the seminal Chicago cartoonist Jeffrey Brown, famous for his autobiographical comic books ‘Clumsy’, ‘Unlikely’ and ‘Little Things’ as well as album artwork for Los Campesinos and music videos for Death Cab for Cutie. Both artists construct their art in a very similar lo-fi, emotional, and humorous way, Jeffrey Brown for example is famous for continually drawing his characters out of proportion or incorrect so as to mirror the awkwardness of the situation he depicts, where as Mewgatz utalises abused robotic malfunctions to underscore his themes of human fragility. It was this joint appreciation of their love for the small details of people’s everyday lives that brought these two artists together.

Here on ‘Love Songs and Car Boot Electronica’ Jeffrey Brown offers both a rare six panel full-colour digipak as well as a 16 page album interpretation comic book as the insert liner notes.

'Universal Pork Tai Chi', is inner space philospohy that lead to Fish Gods. Pseudo Nippon follow Universal Pork Tai Chi for many years, following teacher like Jebubu and Fishlady.

Jebubu was cosmic priest who lived in shed for thousands of years, fish would offer themselves to him, flap across land, and he would open shed door and fish there to eat and practice the philospohy in shed. Pseudo had come to live in the shed, now Temple of Shed for one and half year where he record this album. The album is Pseudo pala machine to express the underlying unknown in all we base are world on. Now physicists are finding new sub atomic prime particles that point to fish god existence beyond the multi-verse. stephen hawking beef.

This album sound utter joy because one way of universal pork tai chi moment is when have utter joy you no longer try. when you do practice of no try, connect to the eternal becoming of all energy and mass. never eat the same beef twice as all beef flux as all pork flux and as all holy yam flux. This joy when listen to songs make your heart beat in pufferfish green light with prawns leading procession to the grandmothers choir. at this point you appreciate your family.

Robert Stillman - Machine's Song

'Machine’s Song' is the new album from the composer and multi-instrumentalist Robert Stillman. A repertoire of music for the one man band, realised in solo performance and recording, the music of ‘Machine’s Song’ focuses on the notion of Uncanny in musical automata, one-man-band performance, and multi-track tape composition. Like Robert Stillman’s past compositional work, Machine’s Song combines pre-jazz American folk-form, surreal sound-collage, and evocative, unfolding melodies.

Machine’s Song comes housed in a reverse-board untreated card spined sleeve, housing both the physical CD in a paper inner and a 5”X15” digital print poster of the experimental, printing block, collage-style imagery of Alan Brignull alongside the Dada-inspired text design of Anna Fewster, together creating a archaeo-futuristic analog to Stillman’s music.
