Casiotone for the Painfully Alone - STSNC Instrumentals 7" BACK IN STOCK

When Casiotone for the Painfully Alone was recently over in the UK on his 'Vs Children' tour he very kindly delivered us 15 copies of the 'STSNC INSTRUMENTALS' 7inch, which was released as a companion 7inch to our 'Town Topic' 7inch EP last year.

 

We originally had about 40 of these beauties in our webstore last year but they quickly sold out so be very quick if you want to get hold of one this time! The pressing was limited to just 300. They're available NOW in our webstore.

 

The 'STSNC Instrumentals' 7inch was released by the cult vinyl-only Olympia, Washington label 'People in a Position to Know'. It's a 10 track long instrumental record that Casiotone for the Painfully Alone recorded for the soundtrack to the movie 'Stay The Same Never Change' by Laurel Nakadate. Casiotone even wrote and recorded the ringtones in the film which are included on this 7inch.

 

The record is limited to just 300 copies worldwide so it's super limited. It's also pressed on "random colour" vinyl, my personal copy is a pink/grey marble swirl, what will yours be?!

Casiotone for the Painfully Alone is the musical alias of 30 year old American film school drop-out Owen Ashworth. Ashworth began his intricate ventures into abstract emotional music in 1997 after he realized that song-making was a far more cost-effective means of storytelling than film-making. To date, he has produced 4 CFTPA albums, released through Tomlab, that have defined a hybrid strain of raw, emotional and very homemade synth pop, this is instantly recognizable as his own. Claustrophobic two-minute character studies shuddered with reverbed beats, blown-out chords and simple but infectious melodies, all layered beneath Ashworth's bittersweet lyrical odes to love lost.
